Hiring! Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager position is responsible for establishing and the implementation of the corporate quality assurance system ISO 9000 that promotes customer satisfaction and that positively impacts the financial performance of Dundee Manufacturing Company. This position will champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System (QMS).

Position Details

Duties and Responsibilities

• Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise the performance of the company’s product lines.

• Educates and trains employees as to their impact in the quality management system.

• Develops, implements and manages ISO 9000 standards for the plant.

• Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.

• Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.

• Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.

• Designs, implements and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.

• Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.

• Performs root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.

• Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.

• Analyzes customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.

• Develops quality planning methods for all product lines.

• Develops process certification standards and assist in process certification.

• Monitors vendor performance and establishes criteria and rating system for critical vendors.

• Reviews customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests, and ensures that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.

• Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.

• Oversees calibration and testing programs.

• Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.

• Reviews suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.

• Participates in internal and external quality audits.

• All other reasonable duties, as assigned.

Requirement and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or business administration, or 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance system implementation and management or as a Quality Assurance Manager in a medium-sized manufacturing environment.

• 3 years of experience working in manufacturing industry.

• 5S certification with a proven track record of business performance improvement.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Knowledge of PLEX System preferred.

Hiring! Packing/Bagging/Roll-up Operator

The Packer, Bagger and Roll-Up position will pack, package or roll-up a variety of products and materials by hand or machine.

Position Details

Duties and Responsibilities

• Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products.

• Removes defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas for handling.

• Constructs and seals boxes using hand tape gun.

• Examines containers/boxes, products, and materials for quality control and ensures packing requirements are met.

• Applies labels to containers, bags/boxes or products.

• Enters packing, order, and product information in Plex or other documents.

• Stacks boxes on pallets.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirement and Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license

• Reliable transportation

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.

• Ability to assess products for quality compliance.

• Good time management skills.

• Basic computer and math skills.

• At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

• Previous ISO-9000 or related experience preferred.

Hiring! 2nd Shift Press Operator

The Progressive Die-Press Operator will use a press to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates

Position Details

Duties and Responsibilities

• • Prepares and adjusts press as required by product plans and production schedules.

• Ensures that there are enough raw materials available.

• Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.

• Ensures blue books are filled out properly as they apply.

• Notify supervisor of all miss-hits.

• Record count times accurately in PLEX.

• Provide continuous improvement ideas.

• Maintain a safe work environment.

• Maintain efficiency production rate.

• Maintain quality product according to quality operational procedures

• Keep work area clean and organized.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates

Requirement and Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate progressive-die press controls.

• Ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.

• Basic computer and math skills.

• Valid driver’s license

• Reliable transportation

• At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

• Two year progressive/line dies preferred.

• Previous ISO-9000 or related experience preferred
